Getting Ready for the New Year!

Hello! Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and times with their family. I know I did. All three of my kids got what they wanted and they had nothing to complain about. I cooked our Christmas dinner Christmas Eve, so I could spend time with my family on Christmas Day.

My hubby surprise me with a beautiful watch for Christmas! I was not expecting anything as we do each others gifts before Christmas! I usually don't wear watches, but I will this one!! My hubby said tried of me always asking the time when we in town.
What is your plans for New Year's Eve? We usually don't do much. We usually just watch the new year come in by watching the New Year's specials on tv. Kids try to stay up with us but with no luck of ever making it to 12. lol  But who knows our plans may change, but will see what comes our way when it gets here1!

Thank you for reading. Hope your Christmas was just as wonderful as ours was! Hope you have a Happy New Year!!\

Counting Down to Christmas!!!

Good evening everyone!! Hope everyone is just as excited as I am that Christmas is around the corner!! I got to get to my birthday and then Christmas follows three days afterwards!! My dad calls me his Christmas gift!! I am going to be 33 years old on Monday and my dad still calls me his baby girl!  Even with me about to be 33 he still calls me his best Christmas gift yet! Ha Ha.

Christmas is not about the gifts we receive and how expensive they are!  It is about a man named Jesus that was born! If wasn't for him we wouldn't celebrate this great day!  Again my dad has drawn a picture for me! He tries to draw me drawings according to the holiday or how he feeling. And almost always they are about our great Lord and Jesus!  We all need to remember this all year around instead of just at Christmas time! We all need to try to do for others all year around too, instead of just at this time of year!

Merry Christmas!!
Thank you for reading today!

Schooling And More Schooling!!!

Hello! Hope everyone is having a great day!! I know I am!!  My daughter is starting her reviews for her K12 semester tests. I was so worried that homeschooling her, she wouldn't learn anything.  I was also worried  that I wouldn't be a good enough teacher for her!  But today she took her semester Science test and she passed it, without any problems!! She missed one question out of 16!! K12 may have it tech issues, and even this being our first year homeschooling and doing K12, we have found ways around it and staying caught up!! I can't believe how much she has grown as far as her education!! Yes, even she has her days and moments where she just don't wanna do her work!! But that is okay, that why we choose K12. So, we can work when she wants and at our pace.  K12 gives you lessons plans to go by daily, you have help and support when you need it, and if you do it though the states the books and materials is free!!!! But you can also do it independently just by buying the books from them. But we choose the free way cause get the help from the teachers if you get stuck!  It has done so well with my daughter that my sister in law is about to start the enrollment with K12 so, that my nephew can start with it in Jan..  I was going to home school my daughter for a year and put her back into the B&M school next year. But have decided we are going to stick with K12 next year.  I am afraid to put her back in a b&m school and her fall behind again, when she doing way better than what she was in traditional school.

Well, on another note.  I have been doing everything I can go to go back to school my self the last month. I took my placement tests and filled out all the forms!! And as of today it is official I will be starting my classes in Jan. I will be going for accounting diploma.  I am so excited and happy!!! It something I have been wanting to do since I finished high school!! So, I am about to be super busy with homeschooling my daughter, my two boys, work, and other things that a wife does lol.

Thank you for reading today!! Have a blessed day!!

New addition to the family!

My husband is so wonderful!! He found a puppy yesterday in need of a forever home. So, my hubby woke me up asking and telling me about her. All my kids have been asking for a dog.  Well a couple of hours after I got up we went and got her. She is so beautiful! She is 5 months old. She was got for the whole family. But my daughter she telling everyone that she is her dog only!! lol That should tell you how spoiled my little girl is!! The puppies name is Elsa! No, we did not name her she was already named! But works well with my daughter cause my daughter is a big Frozen fan!! Elsa right now is her favorite character!! Elsa is a very playful puppy!! And she has adjusted well to our family!! My daughter has got her spoiled already!! She has Elsa sleeping with her already.  My daughter wants to be the one that walks her, but every time we let her walk Elsa, she seems to let go of the leash time Elsa puts any pull on it. We so happy for her to be part  of our family!!

My daughter is still enjoying K12. She did not do any work yesterday cause of getting Elsa. But my daughter done a really get job on doing on catching up from yesterday and she did her work for today!!  K12 may have some tech issues at times but I still don't regret joining K12!! There is ways to work around the issues!

Thank you for stopping by and reading!! Hope every one has a great day!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

With it being less than two days till Thanksgiving, I wanted to stop in and say Happy Thanksgiving!! Tomorrow I will start my cooking for my family! I am going to be very busy in the kitchen!! While my kids play and enjoy tv. I have many things to be thankful for!
Things I am Thankful for:
1.) God for giving me this life I have.
2.) My family
3.) My families health
4.) A roof over my head and food in our bellies
5.) I am also thankful for the soldiers and their families who gives us our freedom that we have

We all have blessings in our lives!! It may not be exactly what we want but at least we have what we have!! I was taught as a child, to remember there is always someone out there that is less unfortunate   and has less than we did! And til this day, that's how I look at things and teach my own kids!! Remember as we sit down to eat with our families and say grace, remember the ones that can't be with family, or the ones that don't have family to be with!!
One another note. Let's eat plenty and be with our families and have fun!!
Thank you for stopping by and reading!!
God bless everyone and have a blessed Thanksgiving!!

Homeschooling And the K12 Community On Facebook

As I have mentioned in several of blogs my daughter is home schooled. But yet have two boys in a B&M school. I starting home schooling my daughter cause she was having it hard in reg. school. My daughter was not learning and she was so nervous in reg. school that she just hated it. I got the idea to home school cause my sister in law home schools her only child. But I didn't think I do could do it. I know without a plan layed out for me I would not make it far and my daughter would fall more behind. So, right before school got out I cleaned a house for a lady.  We had got to talking how my daughter was doing in school and how I wanted to home school her. That's when she went to telling me about  a online school that was free and paid for the school books. It is called K12. It is though the states school board. K12 lessons is online and offline and gives the flexible to do work at your paste. You can do it though your state for free or pay for the books and you do it on your own. But recently, I found a online group just for the K12 Learning Couches!! And have got to say, I am loving being apart of this group. They are friendly and nice bunch of  ladies. I have only been apart of the group for only a couple of days, but I feel accepted and your questions and comments are respected!! All of them understand how it is to home school and how it can come over whelming to try to learn it all by yourself. I have yet to see anyone put done or get any disrespect for a question they have. Someone is always there to answer and help out!! K12 also does your lesson plan for you!! So, all you got to do is make sure your child does the work! Also lets you be apart of their learning process and lets you know what your child is doing in their lessons!! Just wanted to share something that has brought joy and happiness to mine and my daughter's life!! Thank you for stopping by and reading today!!

Easy And Fun Day!!

Well, hello again!! Well today was busy, but yet I had fun and enjoyed it! First, went to eat lunch with my boys at school today. They do a Thanksgiving meal where family can come eat with the students. They also do it where you can eat with all your kids at the same time, instead of eating with one then turn around and eat with the other one. But anyhow that was a treat for all of us!  They are out of school all week next week. So, we have things planned!!
My daughter is home schooled as I mentioned in my first blog.  I do her home school though K12.com. She is loving it.  We done all work for today, yesterday. So she wouldn't have anything to do today. She is also out of school for the whole week next week. Which makes it easier on me. Because of doing school work when boys is home is a pain.  She also got an unexpected surprise today, her bff came up for a short visit this afternoon. So, she got to play with her for almost 5 hours today before she had to go back home. My daughter's friend had to month over a month ago, and when they moved they moved three hours away. So when she gets to come up and visit, we make time for them. When she came up she brought the dog she got for birthday last month. Which I got to get a picture of. Didn't realized that small dogs had so much energy until I meet this little one!! And he was so cute!!

I also enter a contest on facebook about a week ago! Which is nothing to new for me lol. But any how, won me a nice key chain with my int. I am enjoying it. There is a chance will be having the woman make me a couple to give to some really close family for Christmas!!
Well that's it for today!! Thank you for stopping by and have a really nice weekend!!

One Week tO Thanksgiving and Drawings to Share

Hello, My family is preparing for Thanksgiving next week! I am very excited as Thanksgiving and Christmas is my favorite holidays! To me it not the food or what we receive. This time to me means time with family! Family is the world to me. My two boys has things coming up this week with their school they are excited for.  One has a field trip tomorrow and both have a Thanksgiving meal at school with family on Friday! And yes my hubby, my daughter, and myself will be joining them. As I have done this since my oldest has started school 6 years ago. I enjoy going and doing this with them!! My daughter is trying to finishing up and catching up her homeschooling work, so she wont have to do any makeup work on her week off! We plan on doing a family night over the weekend to rest up and get ready for the up coming week!
For the last 7 years I haven't got to spend the holidays with my dad. So, he sends me letters often and draws for me. Which  I am going to share today. The reason I am sharing is to remind why we do Thanksgiving and to remind to be Thankful for we have. I have many things I am thankful for. My family, my health, and my health.

I do wanna do a shout out to my nephew. He has made me very proud!! He has been saving money to help others in need. He is doing this on his own without anyone couching or making him do it.  He has already put some toys in the toys for tots on his last trip to Walmart!! But he is not stopping there, he still saving money to do something else to help someone in need. He only 9 years old. So, my kids and me have been taking what spare change we have and save it, then give it to him for his mission.

Thank you for stopping by and reading! Have a wonderful week!
