It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!!

 Hello Everyone,

Every where you look, its looking a lot like Christmas. I love this time of year. To me its not about receiving a gift, but about giving and being with family. Christmas is to celebrate Jesus Christ's birthday. God gave his only son, so we could live.

I love seeing the lights and all the decorations this time of year. Love the smile on my kid's face when they open their gifts.

Tonight I decorated some gingerbread houses with all three of my kids. My oldest son didn't do anything to his and just ate it. :( He also has told me this year that he too old to help decorate the house for Christmas. Yes, I was a little upset, but I hope that next year he wont think this and go back to helping decorate for Christmas.

My 10 year old son decorated this house.

My eight year old daughter done this house.
You can't see in the picture, but she done the side windows with sprakles
to have it look like Christmas lights on the windows with snow.

I hope to add some more Christmas like pictures in the next few blogs. Have a wonderful week everyone!

Thanks for reading today.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hello everyone,

With Thanksgiving just a half hour away, I wanted to do a post of some fun facts about Thanksgiving!! Hope you enjoy.

Fun Facts About Thanksgiving!
  1.  President Lincoln declared the last Thursday in November as a national day of thanksgiving, and in 1941 Congress established the fourth Thursday in November as a national holiday
  2. President Franklin D. Roosevelt moved Thanksgiving to the next-to-last Thursday in November to prolong the holiday shopping season
  3.  Thanksgiving football games began with Yale versus Princeton in 1876.
  4. Considered the "Mother of Thanksgiving," Sara Hale (1788-1879) was an influential editor and writer who urged President Lincoln to proclaim a national day of thanksgiving. She selected the last Thursday in November because, as she said, harvests were done, elections were over, and summer travelers were home. She also believed a national thanksgiving holiday would unite Americans in the midst of dramatic social and industrial change and “awaken in Americans’ hearts the love of home and country, of thankfulness to God, and peace between brethren.
You can go here facts about Thanksgiving to find some more fun facts!!

Remember to give Thanks for family and friends in your life. Be thankful for what you have and your health. Remember those who don't have family or anything this Thanksgiving and share. Shred joy in someone's life this holiday season.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

One Year Anniversary Blogging!!

Hello, Everyone!

I started this blog a year ago on 11/13/2014. A big thank-you  everyone that stops in and reads what I post. I am very thankful for each of you. I am surprised I still blog. I know, I know, my blogs half the time don't make any sense. But I promise I will work to make it better. In coming months I hope to start doing YouTube videos. We will see. I am also starting a new business adventure. Fingers crossed it goes well. I will blog about that one soon, I promise.  If things go right, I should start posting stuff on here for sale and customers can pay with Pay Pal. Will have to see how things go.

For the next couple of weeks I will be busy finishing up this semester. I have a four page paper to type, and get ready for three finals. I have one more semester to go and I will graduate. Fingers crossed I should graduate in May of 2016!! YAY!!  I also preparing for Thanksgiving that is only a week and a half away. Boy, this year has flown by, hasn't it? Before we know it Christmas will be here.

Thank y'all for stopping by and reading. Have a great week!!
