In my last post, I said I was getting a 1961 truck off of my dad. Well, it is actually a 1966 Chevy pickup. Last Friday, we managed to get the truck to our yard. I could tell my dad really didn't want to give the truck up. But, I assured him that the truck will done up right and taken good care of.
On Wednesday of this week, me and my family got outside and washed the truck. Would you believe that it took the five of us to get it washed and it took us almost a hour to get it cleaned, just on the outside? In this post I am going to share some pictures we took today of some of the things we have done so far. I hope y'all this as much as I have working on it.

This is my husband starting the sanding. He is using a 40 grid sandpaper.
This where after the first layer of paint was sanded off.
The rust spots that we are going to use auto bondo on.

Besides the sanding and getting ready to use the bondo on the rust spots. I have took some cleaner and cleaned the inside of the truck. The inside is like the outside it has a long way to go. But I will get this truck done, no matter how long it takes me. Who knows I might get crochet mommy to make me some seat covers for my seats, we will see. Like me crochet mommy is in school, so will have to see later down the road.
I enjoyed working on this truck with my husband. I see many more hours of me and him time on this truck. (I can't wait.) My husband is trying to get me to paint this truck black when we are done repairing it, but I don't want black. I really haven't chose a color yet. I have to have one picked soon.
